We arrived in Norfolk, VA on 8/11, Deevs' 17th birthday. We checked into the hotel and the the birthday boy chose Cracker Barrel for dinner (Grammie was happy!). The next day, we hung around with the family and ran wedding errands. Many of us ate at 5 Guys (which was pretty tasty), some at Chipotle, and at least one (who shall remain nameless but may or may not start with a "D" and rhyme with "Blue") retired to The Pub for the rest of the day.
A few of us then went to Target and Jett REALLY wanted something... he SHOWED me ALL the stuff he wanted (the whole older boys' toy section!!! ;) He even tried on some Transformers masks.
That night we went for Italian food at Rosalita's (mexican italian???). It was here we met Harald & Mary (Sara's parents) and Aaron (Sara's brother) for the first time (we hads met sister, Hannah, earlier). They handled it well, but phew!, dining with my whole family, all together, is no small feat! It was fun to finally be able to meet them and put faces to the names.
After dinner, Hannah came back to the hotel and they went swimming in the indoor pool and she spent the night,

It was a FUN and chaotic night and the 24 hour countdown to the Rehearsal was well under way!
